mUsbFixer is a free and tiny tool to remove write-protection and format the pendrives and SD cards. As the flash memory "wears out" in individual blocks, I would expect a progressive reduction in write capacity as blocks were marked off as not being writeable. It just isn't there. I’d also recommend performing a scan with at least one other antivirus scanner, as not all antiviruses are 100% complete in their anti-virus definitions. I suggest to ad this tool at your article.
