The puppies and I both want to thank you. I know Windows 10 has that as one of its own new 3 finger gestures but Smart gesture still has browser back and forwards under 3 finger gestures. Literally, 36 hours of my life trying to fix this horseshit, and it was solved by clicking the "smart gesture" driver link. The touchpad worked just as it would on win7, except for two finger scroll back/forward on webpages.

I haven't checked the links yet in your other comment but will do after this because the following method worked for me. Is there a setting to reverse it anywhere? So far the Win8.1 driver works flawlessly in Win10. From the Control Panel window, open the Device Manager.
This has been bugging me for years.... Didn't look like it installed anything either but that might be because it's already installed.
