I'm having problems getting PulseAudio to work properly. https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/801 Luke Yelavich (themuso) wrote on 2009-09-14: #32 Changing package due to ia32-libs being where this needs fixing. An alternative solution would be to make your own build. http://rinfix.com/ubuntu-cannot/ubuntu-cannot-open-consolekit.html This means that you need to install 32-bit sound libraries for wine to use. The time now is 12:56 AM. Running League of Legends on wine 1.5.5, using a relatively fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit.
I haven't even messed with any of the settings yet, but I tried purging all the configuration and reinstalling just to be sure. It is dangerous for other reasons as well. We probably want to revert the latest changes to ia32-libs and alsa-plugins (in terms of the Replaces), because we cannot build a 32-bit pulse alsa plugin on a 64-bit host due Atanas Atanasov (thenasko) wrote on 2009-08-13: #21 I tried copying files from the i386 package, to /usr/lib32/alsa-lib but this did not help. However, there are some programs that I install through debs or makes. It sounds like that is not the case but considering it works, > why not do just that? The sound temporarily stutters the last note heard from Banshee. That worked too. non-defaults, backup /etc too.
Boot, Backup, and Security questions. If you have any problem doing that, please open a bug against PA. Std Linux Sys Maint.. You might want to open a separate bug for that, and try to reproduce the problem with an open-source application (that is, not Skype). I haven't looked for it yet. RE: Audio on Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit - Added by Jacker over 2 years ago This should be added to the wikis as well.

You can use 'strace' to find out where it expects them to be. I have osspd, 32-bit libasound2 libraries, and 64-bit libasound2 libraries installed, and libasound_module_conf_pulse.so does indeed exist under both /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/alsa-lib and /usr/lib/x_86_64-linux-gnu/alsa-lib.
