I even tried installing some VIA floppy drive drivers and they were indeed installed but the problem remained. As well as this i have checked that the floppy disk controller is enabled in bios. The CPU runs at 100% all of the time also in Task Manager. This computer that I'm having issues with has a cheap power supply and the voltage reads: cpu Vcore +4.08V +3.3 +4.08 +5 +6.85 +12 +16.32 That could cuase something to not Source

Something might have messed up with the filter drivers, many viruses try to mess around with those things to enable to inject code or snoop on you. Did you find this forum helpful?
