Now it's possible for me to use old SCSI drives after copying the data files from the FAT formated HDD for IRIX system. Worked with Vista 64, too, didn't try it with 7 yet. Please try again now or at a later time. You could try giving LSI support a ring and see if they have any idea what's going on with your controller card, if it's a similar situation as mine.
